Graduating from the university, among many other ambitions I had, one of the few sitting on top of the ladder was meeting and falling in love with my Prince charming, and then marrying and living happily with him thereafter. And you thought this dream came true soon after? Nope, it didn’t. Mine was a long wait ! And I wish I knew from the onset, I would have prepared for it, but lo, I didn’t.
So then the long journey with so many highs and lows and unpleasant contours started. And those highs and lows and contours were the vehicles that delivered the majority of the badges of honour that decorated my life today. When I finally got married to my dear husband, whom I would eventually go into the ministry with, it was made clear to me then what the Lord was preparing me for.
Furnished with an invaluable experience of a long period of spinsterhood, a master degree in Psychological counselling, and some years in pastorial counselling, gave me a rare access to an indept understanding of the challenges and struggles of the singles and the marrieds.
