I had always thought that one of the hardest commands of Jesus is ‘love your enemy and bless those that curse you’. “How on earth can I love my enemy ? How do you expect me to bless those that curse me? How do you possibly want me to condone those that despitefully use me? Lord, You don’t expect me to kiss those that grieved me, that bruised me, that betrayed my trust with every sense of impunity, do You?” I querried in revolt amidst tears.
“Just allow me do something, allow me fight back even if I eventually lose. Just let me do something Lord! Ok, let me release a curse, let me speak terrible things into their realm and watch You endorse it. As soon as I declare this curse, put your feet on the ground, GBAAAM ! And send angel Gabriel, no sorry, I mean Michael and other warring angels to carry out those woes, so that they will know that your daughter is hurting.”
But He replied as gentle as ever ; « All my commands are for your good. When you fight, you stress, people watch, fear, and applaud you, but when I fight, people watch, fear, and applaud me. Allow me do the fighting, only be still and know that I am God. One more thing, remember to bless and not curse. Everyone prays to reap the fruit of their labour, so bless them. Daughter, bless them to reap whatever grief, bruise, betrayal, and malicious lies they sowed. And then watch me, as a God of increase, I will increase and multiply in their bossom their seeds in good measures, pressed down, shaken together and running over .»
Who’s out there sitting in the dark hurting and feeling cheated, sidelined, swindled, your honesty taken advantage of, even your gullibility and weakness? Abraham asked, will the judge of the whole earth not judge rightly? Certainly He will.
Just a reminder : When you fight, people watch, applaud and fear you, but when He fights, people watch, applaud, and fear Him. And we all know that He loves it when He gets the whole attention, the whole attention means the whole glory.
Before I sign out, remember; when you fight you lose your peace, but when He fights, YOU HOLD YOUR PEACE(Exodus 14:14).
