At first It was an ordinary meeting, or so I thought.
And then it metamorphosed into a great friendship.
And then I started enjoying their company.
And then I brought them into my house.
And then my little girl started enjoying their company too.
And then they started inviting her to their house.
And then they won’t go to park nor ride bicycles and scooters with their kids without her.
And then I would always whisper ‘oh how kind they are!’
And then my little girl got ‘addicted’ to their company.
And then she would go hysterical when it’s time to part.
And then they started wondering what on earth is wrong with me.
And then they began to insinuate ‘oh poor girl, she’s being maltreated by her mum, if not why does she cry when we want to leave?’
And then they conspired to take the case to the child protection agency behind me.
And then they invited her out more often, because they needed enough evidences to nail me.
And then enough evidences were too hard to come by.
And then they started putting words in her mouth : a 5 year old girl, what does she know?
And then I got the wind of it, and was shocked to my bones.
And then I decided never to open my door to them again despite their pleadings.
And then I started making a mental retrace of how it all started.
And then I recalled that at first It was an ordinary meeting, or so I thought.
And that it metamorphosed into a great friendship.
And that I started enjoying their company.
And that I brought them into my house.
And that my little girl started enjoying their company too.
And that they started inviting her to their house.
And that they won’t go to park nor ride bicycles and scooters with their kids without her.

And that it is now their turn to make a mental retrace of how it all started.
