True Success

True success is achievable only when we are able to perceive, understand, comply, and stay within the divine order. People rate success by the gains they see. Man’s measurement of success asks the question : who is greater? Who pulls the larger crowd? Who amasses the bigger wealth? Who gains the mega popularity? Who commands a higher influence ? and so on. But God uses a totally different scale. He rather asks “who does my will here on earth as it is in heaven? Whose life reveals exactly the copy that I have with me in heaven?”

Real wealth is found in walking in line with the will of God, there is no greater wealth than it.

«..store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal». (Matthew 6 : 20 -NIV).

John the Baptist’s ministry was a huge success, though at a time people started leaving his ministry to join Jesus’. One would have thought that John would change his message, since people had started taking him serious, and had actually started ‘beholding the Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world.’ John would have regretted that people had become so enchanted by this Messiah who was way too great, that John himself confessed his unworthiness to untie his shoe’s latchet.

On the contrary, he warned the people who came to inform him that his audience had suddenly changed camp, they were now following Jesus. He let them understand that it was according to the divine order. He declared that :

He must increase, but I must decrease’ John 3:30.

In other words, ‘don’t bother, it’s normal, it is meant to be so. In fact that’s how it is stated in the blueprint’. This was because he understood that the success of his ministry was tied to Christ’ increase in popularity. He totally appreciated that the popularity of Jesus, not his own popularity, was the measuring stick for the success of his ministry.
